November 2008 San Francisco Bazaar Bizarre

Thank you for your interest in being a vendor at the 2008 San Francisco Bazaar Bizarre!

THE APPLICATION PERIOD IS CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST!

Application Period

Applications are being accepted from July 12th to August 15th 2008. You will be notified as to whether or not you are accepted by August 21st 2008

How Vendors Are Chosen

The Bazaar Bizarre is a juried craft fair that selects vendors based on various elements such as:
· Individuality
· DIY-sensibility
· Quality of work
· Diversity of Products

We have a rotating panel of judges from diverse organizations and backgrounds to ensure a diverse and quality showcase of crafters and products.

Traditionally we have received more vendor applications than there are vendor spaces. So the more information you provide in your application—the more we’ll be able to consider when making our decision.

One vendor space may be shared amongst more than one crafter. Just be sure to give us information about all the crafters involved on the application.

Event Logistics

This is a one-day event being held Sunday Nov 30th, 2008 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. CFB

Booth Logistics

Vendors are given a 6'x6' space. A 6 ft. table and two chairs will be provided. Vendors must leave their space clean and garbage-free. Bazaar Bizarre San Francisco and the San Francisco County Fair Building are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property or for any bodily injury before, during or after the event.

Costs

The fee for one vendor space is $165.00*

*Please note we are forced to increase our vendor fees by $45 this year as a result of changes in the venue's fee structure, the need to hire support staff as mandated by the Park and Recreation Dept. and to ensure quality care of all our vendors during the show.

We can understand that vending may seem costly and we try to keep costs at a minimum for you. Historically Bazaar Bizarre has proven to be a successful show for a majority of our vendors and brought them greater visibility among consumers, media and wholesale buyers alike. Based on an anonymous survey Bazaar Bizarre conducted with last year's vendors (2007) more than 62% of vendors earned a gross profit of $700 USD or more, 30% of them earning $1,500 USD or more in total sales at the San Francisco holiday show. 95% of our vendors grossed at minimum, twice their vendor fees.

Payment Info

If you are accepted, payment is due by September 1st 2008. If you are accepted into the event but you decide not to attend, there are no refunds after you pay. Also if you do not pay by the due date you risk forfeiting your space.
